Designed for babies from 6 months to 2 years old, this set of 5 Montessori tools will help your baby achieve certain milestones through play. Made of bass wood, we chose this set of tools as we're attracted to its pastel shades and muted colours which is suitable for modern playrooms. They are safe, splinter free and are made up of non-toxic water-based paint with smooth edges.
This set of products are packed individually in white kraft boxes. If you purchase the full set, they will be packaged into a big cube box which is perfect for gifting. 1) Object Permanence Box - Through this activity, your child will learn to drop the little ball into the hole in the box. The ball will roll out of the box and into the tray which allows him/her to experience object permanence by seeing that the ball did not just disappear.
At the same time, it allows your child to develop fine motor skills while grasping the balls. With repeated use of this montessori tool, the child learns how it feels to succeed when he has achieved a goal on his own.
2 & 3) Coin Box with Balls & Coin Box with Coins - This set of tools is the next level challenge - A two-way coin box that allows your child to experience opening, closing and putting items into the holes. Although coins fit into the holes in every position, your child will need to open the drawer to retrieve the coins, not just fall out. This enhances the child's hand-eye coordination, allowing him/her to focus with attention. At the same time, it sparks your child's curiosity about the disappearance and reappearance of objects. After they have opened the drawer to discover the coin is still there, watch your child perform this same task over and over again until they are confident mastering the skill.
4) Spinning Drum - As your young child starts to explore the world around them they will find this spinning drum fascinating. The easy rolling movement will help your child develop their arm and wrist muscles and eye hand coordination. Engage with your baby using this tool at their tummy time or when they're sitting up. As they grow older, this toy helps young babies with their hand-eye coordination skills as they spin their wheels.
5) Shape Sorter Drawer Boxes - This is a multi-shaped drawer, your child can put the corresponding shape into the box with drawers. This is a good tool for general sensory teaching. This material develops hand-eye coordination and indirectly allows the child to experience object permanence. It practises precise hand movements while sending information to the brain as well as develops hand, wrist and finger control. This tool also helps your child to understand that he/she has to open the drawer to retrieve the shapes.
Delivery - Instocks. Delivers in 3-7 working days.
